WHERE SOUTHPORT GATHERS
Some clubs are built for a market. This one was built by a community, for a community, and there is a difference that runs through everything we do.
It started the way the best things usually do: informally, on a Sunday, with a group of working-class Southport locals sharing cold beers and a good conversation. At some point during one of those catch-ups, someone said the words that changed everything. Why don’t we build our own club?
They raised the funds. They gathered the support. And in 1967, on the site of the old Southport Railway Station, they opened the doors to the Southport Workers Club; known affectionately to the locals who loved it as the Tin Shed.
That building is long gone. What it stood for never left
Over the decades the name has changed — reflecting a community that kept changing too. From the Southport Workers Club to the Southport Working Men’s & Women’s Club, to the Southport Workers Community Club, to Club Southport, and finally to CSi Club Southport Incorporated. Each name a small chapter in a longer story.
The facilities have grown through seven major stages of development. Since 2023 alone, we have invested over $16 million in renovating and expanding what this club offers — because the community that built this place deserves the best version of it.
Today CSi Club Southport is home to:
A 400-seat bistro serving lunch and dinner seven days
Alfresco dining for up to 90 people
Four full-service bars
A functions room for up to 100 seated guests or 120 cocktail style
199 electronic gaming machines
TAB and KENO facilities
Two kids’ playgrounds and a splash pad — because families belong here
Over 250 car parks, including a covered multi-level car park off Railway Street
And right next door, our social bar SIDETRACKED has been bringing live events, private functions, and a few unexpected nights to Southport since October 2025.
CSi Club Southport has over 145,000 Aurora Rewards members. We employ more than 75 people from the local area. We support sporting clubs, community groups, and charities across Southport and the Gold Coast.
None of that happened by accident. It happened because the people who founded this club in 1967 believed that a club should give back to the place that gave it life. We still believe that. We always will.
We have come a long way from the Tin Shed. But the reason we are here; the cold beers, the good conversation, the sense that everyone is welcome, that has never changed.
TRADING HOURS
We are open 7 days a week from 10am until 4am, with the exception of:
- Good Friday: Club is closed all day
- Christmas Day: Club is closed all day
Dining Hours:
- Lunch, Monday – Friday, 11:30am – 2:30pm
- Dinner, Monday – Friday, 5:30pm – 8:30pm
- All Day Dining, Saturday & Sunday, 11:30am – 8:30pm
- ANZAC Day, dining available from 1pm
- Christmas Eve, dining available until 2:30pm
DRESS CODE
Smart casual dress is required in the Club at all times. T-shirts are permitted, as long as they do not have offensive slogans or images.
Management’s decision is final regarding all matters of dress and behaviour.
ENTRY CONDITIONS
It is no longer a requirement to be a Member if you live within 15kms of the Club to enter CSi Club Southport. If requested, all Guests must provide Photo ID. Please note – you may be required to have your ID scanned through an electronic scanner upon entry or throughout your visit.
If you are a CSi Club Southport Member, remember to swipe your Aurora Rewards card at any of our Member Kiosks. If you’re not a member, it is FREE to join.
CAR PARK
There are over 250 car parks around our club, including a multi-level undercover car park located at the back of the club. Access to our car park is via Railway Street.
We no longer have a courtesy bus.
